Jessie & Mack’s wedding day at Rincon Beach Club was filled with all kinds of lovely, and we can’t get enough of all the little details. Santa Barbara wedding photographers Michael + Anna Costa Photography were behind the lens on this stunner, and they give us images that are so full of luxe glamour it’s hard to take it all in. This Santa Barbara wedding is straight out of all of our fantasies, and we are absolutely thrilled to feature this gem today!
Rincon Events loves nothing more than an entire wedding weekend filled with color, decor, and fabulous food! Wedding planner Carol Borowitz with Rincon Events began working on the Wu Lu wedding well before the destination get together began, guiding bride and groom through every detail along the way.
A jungle themed rehearsal dinner at the Santa Barbara Zoo started off the festivities. As guests arrived at the zoo they were greeted with a specialty cocktail and a private penguin encounter. Photos were taken as family and friends fed the Santa Barbara Zoo penguins and learned a bit about the adorable creatures. As the feeding concluded, loved ones ventured through cobblestone paths toward the elephant junction dinner space where wrought iron lanterns, wheatgrass, and intricate wooden animals adorned the table tops. Dinner of pecking duck and bok choy was served as toasts from beloved family and friends were given. The sweet sentiment of the evening was the perfect kick-off for the sincere couple’s destination weekend.
Jessie Wu and Mack Lu were married the following day at the Rincon Beach Club in Carpinteria, CA. This traditional Chinese wedding was nothing short of an elaborate cultural experience. Guests flew from all across the globe to sink their feet in the sand and hear beach vows exchanged by the sweet couple from San Francisco. Jessie was stunning in Vera Wang and sparkled as her mother escorted her down the aisle. Following the ceremony, guests hopped onto a trolley that brought them to the reception site just down the lane. What a fun photo op! As guests were greeted with his-and-her specialty cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres, the newlyweds stayed behind to capture idyllic photos on the shore and picturesque train tracks. When the couple finished their photos, they joined their wedding party and entered the reception with the most lively grand entrance. After cocktail hour guests were invited into the Beach Club Garden and transported to an authentic Chinese celebration. The bride and groom slipped away to change into authentic attire before playing traditional Chinese games to honor their family heritage. It was clear, judging by the laughter from friends and family, that they enjoyed watching the happy couple play, but the party continued well into the night as guests danced and enjoyed an ice cream sundae station, cookies with shot glasses of milk, and a candy bar. With wedding planner Carol Borowitz helping the bride and groom every step of the way, it was the personal touches and truly special couple that made this Santa Barbara destination wedding absolutely breathtaking.
